The Melio team grew from 50 to 250 employees over the last year—in the midst of pandemic lockdowns. Most of the team had never met in person and only connected via video conferencing. Melio needed a way to bring their globally distributed team together in a truly memorable and engaging way, to foster connection, build trusting cross-functional & cross-geographic relationships, and have a little fun.

2022 & Beyond

Melio originally partnered with Marco for the ease of discovery, booking, and high-touch support in execution for elevated experiences across the country. Marco proved itself to be a truly embedded culture partner for Melio at the same time that Marco identified Melio as its ideal customer profile for its Marco Memberships Program. The teams are now working together to kick off a pilot for Marco’s subscription-focused solution. 

The Experiences

New York Hub Fall Retreat

  • For the very first experience that Marco had the privilege of creating for the Melio team, the entire New York and international leadership team came together for the very first time! It was a fall dream. The team met at an apple orchard for apple-picking, cider tasting, stone-fired pizza, and more. Afterwards, they headed by coach bus to an farm in upstate New York for an evening complete with live bluegrass, square-dancing lessons, fall-themed cocktails, and a beautiful 6-course farm-to-table meal at a 200-person long banquet table.

Denver Hub Offsite

  • We brought the Denver team to one of our retreat partners, St. Julien – a boutique inspired hotel in Boulder, CO with a stunning 360 degree view of the nearby mountain tops. The day began with a welcome toast and a plated lunch—perfect for the group to mingle and get to know one another. From there, they hiked Mt. Chautauqua and followed the hike with two local brewery tours. It was an epic way to explore the local gems of Boulder, as most of the Denver team is new to the area. They closed the day out with a super intimate dinner back at St. Julien. There was so much love in the room.

Company-Wide Holiday Party

  • To celebrate the holiday and close out the year, Melio wanted something grand, exciting for all, and a ton of fun! We at Marco worked with our amazing partners at 74 Wythe and House of Yes to deliver exactly that. The evening was filled with surprises from purple (Melio’s color) champagne handed out by stilt walkers upon arrival, to aerialists soaring across the glass roof during the dance party. They ate, drank, danced, laughed, took in the stunning Manhattan skyline view from the outdoor rooftop, and truly enjoyed a holiday party unlike any other.
